I specialize in Philosophy of Language and Epistemology. At present I am working mainly on non at-issue meaning, i.e. slurs, epithets, expressive adjectives, etc. In the past I have worked on contextualism and relativism about truth, the semantic/pragmatic divide, and fictional names. Within Epistemology, my main interest is in the Epistemology of Disagreement, Higher-Order Evidence and epistemic akrasia. You can find some of my publications in philosophy of language below.
